Perhaps more famous than the band, the bandmembers, the music or the performances is the fact is that this series of concerts is what put Penn & Teller together in public.

Teller had started doing solo acts in The Summer Intime Cabarets, later staged the 1974 Aqueous Fowle concerts and added a temporary partner before settling on recent clown-college graduate, Penn Jillette--who also spoke very little at the time.

Lesson learned: Never do a concert with Penn & Teller as all the recordings might disappear. Sole survivor scraps transferred here from a lost cassette--that's an analog mechanical chromium oxide magnetic device.

However, these remnants were generously preserved and contributed from the archives of Woody Kaufmann.
