Who we are
robertdavidsonmusic.com is operated by Robert Davidson Music, PO Box 429, Vernon, NJ 07462, USA. This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
What we collect
- Email you send us. The site has no forms. If you write to one of our addresses, we receive your email address, name and whatever you include in the message.
- Server logs. Like any website, our web host records each request in standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time.
- Analytics, only if you accept cookies. If you click Accept, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets first-party cookies named
_gaand_ga_VWK4HETQ5Jand sends Google your browser details, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the pages you view. If you reject, Google Analytics is never loaded. - Video, only if you accept cookies. The Second Chances page embeds a video from Vimeo. The player loads only after you accept; Vimeo may then set its own cookies. See Vimeo's privacy policy.
Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.
How we use it
We use email to reply to you, and analytics to understand which music and pages people visit so we can improve the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising: Google signals and ad personalization are turned off in our Analytics setup.
Service providers
- GoDaddy hosts the website and keeps its server logs.
- Google provides Gmail, which receives email sent to us, and Google Analytics (only with your consent). See Google's privacy policy.
- Vimeo hosts the embedded video (only with your consent).
How long we keep it
We keep email as long as needed to respond to you, and delete it sooner if you ask. Google keeps Analytics data for the retention period set in our account, no longer than 14 months.
Your choices and rights
- Cookie settings. Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Rejecting deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
- Do Not Track. Nothing that tracks you loads without your consent, so we do not respond differently to Do Not Track signals.
- Access, correction and deletion. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- EU and UK visitors also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal basis for analytics and embedded video is your consent; for replying to email it is our legitimate interest in answering you.
- California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information.
- You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit what we collect to what is described here.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
